The Xiaomi brand has just announced the upcoming arrival on the market of new smartphones from the Mi 11 series including the Mi 11 Lite at a particularly affordable price. But what is it worth compared to last year’s model, the Mi 10 Lite 5G? Here are some crossed elements that should allow you to make as informed a choice as possible.

Freshly announced, the new Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite smartphone is part of the Chinese manufacturer’s Mi 11 series consisting of the Mi 11, Mi 11i and Mi 11 Ultra, the most high-end version. It comes with an extremely slim design as it measures only 6.81mm thick. It is also very light with only 157 grams on the scale, making this mobile one of the lightest in the world. The Mi 10 Lite 5G, for its part, offers a weight of 192 grams and 7.88 mm thick.

The new Mi 11 Lite is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 732G chip with 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage space. The Mi 10 Lite 5G take advantage of a Snapdragon 765G with 6 or 8 GB of RAM and a storage capacity of 64, 128 or 256 GB, depending on the configuration chosen. The Mi 11 Lite’s battery can be recharged with a power of 33 Watts against 20 Watts for the Mi 10 Lite 5G, therefore charging less quickly. In terms of connectivity, both have the Wi-Fi 5 but the Mi 10 Lite 5G, as its name suggests has the advantage of being compatible with 5G networks while the Mi 11 Lite is limited to 4G. Both are equipped with a fingerprint reader. It is installed under the screen on the Mi 10 Lite 5G and on the side on the Mi 11 Lite.

One screen at 60 Hz and the other 90 Hz

The screens of the two mobiles use a AMOLED panel with a definition 1080×2400 pixels. That of the Mi 10 Lite 5G is compatible HDR10 + on 6.57 inches while that of the Mi 11 Lite is “only” 6.55 inch HDR10 but offers a refresh rate of 90 Hz against 60 Hz for the Mi 10 Lite 5G. Finally, for the photo configuration, the Mi 11 Lite relies on a 64-megapixel main module with an 8-megapixel wide-angle sensor and a 5-megapixel sensor for macro photos. To take a selfie, it is a 16 megapixel sensor which is installed in the punch at the top left of the screen, as for the Mi 10 Lite 5G. For the latter, on the back, you have to rely on its main 48-megapixel sensor which is accompanied by an 8-megapixel sensor for wide-angle photos and two other 2-megapixel sensors.
