Volvo Cars recently enthusiastically welcomed two new members to the global Design team: Claudia Braun and Thomas Stovicek, who are joining the company's Design activities.
Claudia Braun joined Volvo Cars after working for Daimler Benz. She is now Vice President of Design in charge of colors and materials. In this capacity, she is responsible for strategic directions in the area of interior colors and materials for the Volvo and Polestar brands.
Claudia Braun has a long experience in the design of premium vehicles. At Daimler, she was responsible for the design of colors and finishes for the Mercedes, AMG and Maybach brands. Earlier in her career, she also played an important role in the design of colors and finishes at Porsche.
Thomas Stovicek joined Volvo Cars two years ago after working for Facebook and was recently chosen by Volvo Cars to lead Design and Interaction Experience (UX) activities.
As such, he oversees the development of every digital interaction that customers have with the Volvo brand and company, whether in their car, via the Volvo Cars website or through an app. Mr. Stovicek recently led the redesign of the Volvo Cars website to be launched soon.
