Things are moving at Volvo! The manufacturer is launching an entry-level version of its XC40 Recharge plug-in hybrid and should market an electric coupé SUV …
Called the XC40 T4 Recharge, this entry-level rechargeable hybrid version supports the XC40 T5 Recharge. Like its big sister, it uses a three-cylinder 1.5 liter engine, coupled to an electric motor, the whole developing 211 hp. Its autonomy in 100% electric mode is just over 50 km according to WLTP standards. Its CO emissions2 are between 45 and 55 g / km, i.e. 2 to 2.4 l / 100 km of unleaded.
According to our colleagues from MotorTrend magazine, the Swedish brand should launch in 2023 a large coupe SUV which could be called XC100. Based on the platform of the brand's current large models, it will offer advanced autonomy technologies and will be fully electric.
