In the UK, the BBC's Top Gear show is still very popular despite the departure of its three iconic co-presenters, Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May. Moreover, the new season of the show was marked by a first crash at the wheel of a Lamborghini Diablo.
No one is immune to a small mistake. Not even a Top Gear presenter. We told you about it a few months ago, a journalist from the British car show had crashed a Lamborghini Diablo during a shoot. But now the video has just been published in the last teaser of the new season.
Journalist Paddy McGuinness is the driver of the Italian supercar when he loses control on a small English road. The car then leaves the road and ends its race in the grass. The body of this Diablo was badly damaged, but it seems repairable.
Big damage but no injuries
We now have the video of this accident. And since it's Top Gear, the BBC's team of journalists decided to turn this to their advantage. Instead of stopping filming and wasting time (and money), the channel saw fit to use the accident to promote the show.
Thus, we can see the damaged Diablo arriving on a flatbed truck in front of the cameras and the three protagonists of the show. Fortunately the damage seems only material, but it hurts the heart!
