More than fifty years ago Ralph Lauren, from the Bronx, reigns supreme on fashion made in USA. Recognizable among a thousand, her cloakroom summons a fantasy America, where cowboys, gentlemen and elegant WASPs meet, slipping into a lamé sheath as well as a total-jean look. Yet it is the man more than the brand who is today in the spotlight of a documentary signed HBO, titled Very Ralph. Between archival footage, intimate conversations and prestigious guests (Anna Wintour, Naomi Campbell, Jessica Chastain…), this feature film directed by Susan Lacy paints an unfiltered portrait of this fashion icon, the living incarnation of the American dream.
November 12 on HBO, and soon on OCS in France.
