A replica of the one and only Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse L'Or Blanc had a small scuffle with hay bales at an automobile event in Switzerland this weekend.
Oops! A handful of videos shared online show this Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse in a bad position during a drag race day organized by the Supercar Owners Circle club. The races take place at Gstaad Airport, Switzerland. This is not really the Bugatti L'Or Blanc but a replica: the colors are reversed.
As the Bugatti squeals its tires beyond the finish line, we imagine the " small »Moment of panic of the driver. Even the French hypercar's aero-brake is deployed and the tires howl in a small cloud of smoke. A few moments later, the Veyron enters a hay bale which marks the end of the track.
Based on the footage of the event, it is impossible to tell what type of damage the car suffered. However, we do know someone who attended the event and was fortunate enough to see the Veyron after the incident.
He says the car avoided serious damage and one of the front bumper fins cracked in half. It is not repairable, the car will need a new bumper. Considering the car's unique paintwork, we think it's going to cost a lot of money, but if you can own a Veyron, surely you can afford it.
Not to mention that at this speed the damage could have been much greater.
