Toyota's Lexus Brand Advances Worldwide – The Motorist

Last year, Toyota's luxury brand Lexus recorded double-digit sales growth, marking its 30th anniversary, with strong sales in China and Europe offsetting slowing demand in North America.

Sales of the brand, which debuted in 1989, increased 10% to 765,330 worldwide last year, Toyota said in a statement on Monday February 3, thanks to strong sales of its crossover under -compact UX and its best-selling RX sport utility vehicle.

Sales in China increased 25% to 202,000 vehicles in 2019 and deliveries to the brand's European markets, including Russia, increased 14% to 87,000 vehicles. In North America, the brand's largest market, sales amounted to 325,000 vehicles, which Toyota said was "at year-ago level".

In the EU and EFTA markets, Lexus sales increased by 20% in 2019 to 56,055, with market share increasing from 0.3% to 0.4%, according to the European industry association ACEA.source
