1) PLAN YOUR TRIP
Select well the people who will accompany you, not all of them are made for roadtrips. They agree to make stops, perhaps to modify the routes and even be clear about the type of experience they expect from their trip.
2) CREATE THE BUDGET
Try to plan the essential activities that you will do each day and allocate your money to hotels, restaurants, booths and souvenirs. Of course, always carry your health insurance card and extra money for emergencies.
3) CHECK THE CAR
Essential when undertaking this type of adventure. At least three days before, take your car to the mechanic, verify that everything is in good condition and make sure to bring spare parts and a tool box, in case they have any inconvenience.
4) CREATE THE ITINERARY WITH HELP
When selecting which places to visit, be sure to consult sites such as Trip Advisor, so that based on the opinions of travelers they can choose from where to eat, the best bar and even find an attraction that they had not contemplated.
6) BUILD YOUR PLAYLIST
Take into account the tastes of your companions and be prepared with hours and hours of good music. You can also search for some podcasts, for when they no longer feel like sticking with their favorite artists.
7) ALWAYS TAKE CASH
One of the most uncomfortable things there is is to see some souvenir and not bring what to pay with or make a stop at a gas station and not have money to go to the bathroom. Before leaving your destination, set aside a good amount of cash.
8) LEAVE AS EARLY AS POSSIBLE
A road trip requires the full attention of the driver and if they leave early they can go with more energy during the day and at sunset they can stop at a planned hotel or camp in a park before continuing with the trip.
9) DO YOU TRAVEL WITH CHILDREN?
The challenge is to dose the fun. Take as many games excite them. From cards, coloring books to simple board games and even word games or songs. Take out each game little by little and encourage them to also enjoy the scenery.
10) RECHARGEABLE BATTERIES
Nothing worse than running out of battery in the middle of the road. Take rechargeable batteries with you so that you are communicated all the time, you can take all the photos you want and you can follow the route through your GPS.
11) THAT THE WEATHER DOESN’T PLAY YOU CHUECO
When you travel by car you have to be prepared to go through all kinds of climates. Always carry small blankets, jackets, socks, and tennis shoes.
12) OLD OLD …
Although we always have GPS on our devices, it never hurts to carry maps to find our destinations.
13) GOOD ATTITUDE
Indispensable to have a roadtrip memorable. Be patient, relax and enjoy the trip!
