The auction house RM Sotheby's has offered for sale a very rare version of the 1999 Aston Martin Vantage, equipped with a widely revised V8. Under the hood, no less than 610 horses stamping!
To celebrate the fortieth anniversary of his victory at Le Mans in 1959, Aston Martin made 40 exclusive versions of the V8 Vantage in 1999. The English manufacturer did not just change the style, it made this version very brutal.
For this version, the V8 was pushed to 610 horsepower for a torque of 820 Nm. This allowed the beast to point to 320 km / h by asking less than 4 seconds to go from 0 to 100 km / h. These exceptional performances were also accompanied by a complete aerodynamic treatment, and especially a driving dynamics reviewed with reinforced suspensions and brakes.
RM Sotheby's recently auctioned off an unmanned model from 1999 that sold for £ 207,000, the equivalent of £ 240,000.
