The operator has indicated to the competition authority its wish to buy Garage Veyrunes and its two sites distributing Toyota in the Gard.
The Maurin group is betting on Toyota: through the competition authority, we learn that the operator wants to buy Garage Veyrunes, a Toyota dealer for more than 50 years. Directed by Valerie Veyrunes, it includes two Toyota sites located in the Gard (30), in Ales and Nîmes, generating around 40 million euros in sales.
The opportunity for the Maurin group to distribute the Japanese brand in a new department. Indeed, the operator's Toyota network has so far consisted of sites located in Allier (03), Bouches-du-Rhône (13), Hérault (34), La Lozère (48), Vaucluse (84) and Puy-de-Dôme (63).
Within the Maurin group, Toyota is the seventh most widely distributed brand, with 2,200 units last year out of a total of 37,237 new vehicles. 22,500 second-hand models were also sold through the operator, including 13,500 from individuals. All for a turnover of 1.3 billion euros, up almost 20% from the previous year. The group has thus positioned itself in 6th place in our last Top 100 of the most important operators.
