As updated on March 3, the latest travel advice from the Commonwealth and Development Office abroad is that only essential travel is allowed to Spain, including the Balearic Islands.

These include the islands of Mallorca, Menorca, Ibiza and Formentora.

The travel restrictions, which were introduced on December 22, 2020, are in effect until at least March 16, which means that you will not be able to take essential travel to Spain unless you are a Spanish or Andorran citizen or legal resident.

However, the Spanish government has formally confirmed that UK citizens who have legally resided in Spain before January 1, 2021 will be able to present documents other than the EU residence certificate to prove their residence status when entering Spain.

Until March 8, anyone traveling to Spain must complete a notification form that allows them to legally travel from the UK, and travelers who fail to do so will be fined $ 200.

If you are traveling to Spain for a formal purpose, you must complete a health control form 48 hours before arrival, which will prove a negative result of the PCR test.

When you come to Spain, you will have to undergo a visual health check and a temperature test.
