BARCELONA, Feb. 27 (EUROPE PRESS) –
The European Breast Cancer Congress (EBCC-12), which will be held at the Barcelona International Convention Center (CCIB) from March 18 to 20, is still scheduled on those dates and its organization "continues as planned."
As the congress informed in a statement on Thursday, the organization actively follows the statements of the World Health Organization (WHO) and travel advice related to the outbreak of coronavirus.
He recalled that the most recent statement by WHO indicates that there is no need, according to the current situation, to restrict international travel.
He has said, however, that he will keep an eye on the evolution of the situation, especially after the cases of coronavirus in Barcelona, and "if something changes, he will inform the participants as soon as possible."
The congress has affirmed that it will adopt the necessary measures to prevent any possible contagion and to efficiently manage any disease, which will include numerous hand sanitizers, placed in the environment of the event, and the presence of a medical team specialized in the facilities.
He has advised participants to pay attention to the travel advice of the government of their country of origin and ensure that they have adequate medical and travel insurance.
This is the most important congress in breast cancer in Europe and brings together the main agents in that disease, and is expected to bring together some 2,500 delegates from 90 countries.
