After some leaked images on the internet, BMW is finally giving an official presentation date for its iX3 SUV. To keep patient until July 14, the German brand also unveils a "teasing" photo of the future model.
The Mercedes EQC and Tesla Model Y will no longer be exceptions in their category because BMW is preparing a 100% electric version of its family SUV X3. This is the day of our national holiday, at 10 am, that this new model will be unveiled virtually, which is part of the development of the manufacturer's "i" range. A new photo "teasing" has appeared and confirms the leaks already published in late April on social networks.
Unlike its competitors from Mercedes and Tesla, this iX3 will not be dressed in a new body. Only a few elements such as blue inserts, a grille and specific rims, a redesigned front bumper and the absence of exhaust outlets will differentiate it from the thermal variant marketed since 2017. The latter has also recently had an offer hybrid, called xDrive 30e, which combines a 4-cylinder petrol and an electric block for a cumulative power of 292 hp.
A technique already known
If there is almost no surprise for the exterior, but there is none under the hood either. The German brand has already revealed some details like the power of 286 hp and the autonomy which should be around 440 km. A theoretical radius of action lower than that of the Model Y (505 km) but higher than that of the EQC with 414 km. Visit our website now on July 14 to discover the first details and official photos of this iX3 which will be supported in 2021 by an iX5 derived from the iNext concept.
