Tesla delivered 367,500 cars in 2019, its new annual record.
We are likely to see more and more Tesla cars on the roads in the coming months. Because, quarter after quarter, the manufacturer beats its own records in terms of production and deliveries. In a press release published on January 3, it even announced that it had delivered 367,500 vehicles in 2019. This represents an increase of around 50% compared to 2018 (245,240).
Tesla had already delivered more cars by the end of the third quarter (255,200), so the fourth was to be used to reach its target for the twelve months now gone (360,000 to 400,000). During the last period of 2019, the multinational broke its previous records with 104,891 cars produced for 112,000 deliveries. It is the first time that it has passed the 100,000 mark on these two indicators.
Tesla ends 2019 on a high note
In its very short message, Tesla highlights the inauguration of the Gigafactory 3 plant in Shanghai. He is proud to have assembled nearly 1,000 Model 3s ready to arrive at their owner's home. In the short term, it aims for productivity of 3,000 cars per week.
This is how production and deliveries are divided according to the models:
|Model S and Model X||17,933||19,450|
|Model 3||86 958||92,550|
" Tesla deliveries are only an indicator of financial performance and should not be taken as an indicator of financial results as such, which depend on several factors "Tesla still remembers, who knows very well that these records do not in any way guarantee a financial balance sheet with a positive bank account. In any case, the action is on the rise thanks to this excellent news: + 4.26% at the time of writing. We will not forget to mention that the third quarter was positive for the company.
