TÉLÉRAMA DIALOGUE – Covid obliges, the eighth edition of our meetings with creators, artists and other thinkers takes place online, with three daily meetings to follow on Télérama.fr. Today, dialogue with Jérémy Ferrari. Partisan of black humor, acerbic and uninhibited … the exchange with the humorist could only be rich. The political management of the health crisis, his childhood, his alcoholism, his mental disorders … All without language.

Only he knows how to provoke this black, uninhibited laughter, more liberating than ever in this period of geopolitical, religious and health tensions – so many themes addressed on stage. Because the comedian Jérémy Ferrari, 35, dynamites everything in his path. Warmth? He vomits it. And no limit is imposed on itself except that of having verified all the facts it states. Each of his shows, always focused on a problematic dug to more thirst, takes the spectators in a frantic rhythm.

We come out richer, more concerned. More human, too. Hence this desire to discuss with him to pursue some of his reflections. On the health crisis, in particular – General anaesthesia, his latest opus, dedicated to the health system, was cut down by confinement while the tour was beginning.

Better on stage than in life

But there are so many other questions to discuss with him. Especially since he also bares himself in this last show, hiding nothing of his alcoholism, nor of the “Molotov cocktail” he had in his head before being diagnosed with high potential (and therefore gifted), reached attention deficit hyperactivity disorder. Also evoke this childhood, in a popular district of Charleville-Mézières, where it all began. Where he understood that he felt better on stage than in life and that he was therefore ready to give everything to his audience under cover of manhandling him. There is passion in the way Jérémy Ferrari talks, a desire to exchange. A constant interest in others that we in turn wanted to share with our subscribers.
