The former director of the leisure center of Cadillac (Gironde), Stephane Tignon, East deceased at the age of 57, following a serious illness, Tuesday 13 October 2020.
He was one of the pillars oflocal entertainment, and especially athletic, at Cadillac. The tall man with the deep voice, with black rectangular glasses and crazy about table tennis, Stephane Tignon, was a good advisor not only for his professional experience but also for his in-depth knowledge of the territory.
He was also an emblematic player and coach (in National and Regional), for almost 40 years, of table tennis of Cadillac.
Employee at the town hall then at the community of municipalities
The Cadillacais practiced almost 40 years in animation before the creation of communities of municipalities. He had started his career working for the town hall of Cadillac. Then to the creation of the community of communes of Coteaux de Garonne, he had joined this new organization quite naturally.
Director of the Cadillac Leisure Center
All these years, Stephane Tignon was animation director of the leisure center of Cadillac. He was the bearer of various events within the community of communes Convergence Garonne but he was also the one who supervised and organized the departmental system CAP 33.
An animation that Stephane Tignon particularly appreciated, as he told us in 2019:
“For us, in our mind, it's a bit like the big end of summer fair. We have positioned this day at a time when people are coming back from vacation, the leisure centers are closed and that therefore gives families an activity ”.
"A fabulous colleague, kind, always smiling"
Personally, Gérard Coma, in charge of communications at Convergence Garonne, declares:
"He was an engaging person, a fabulous, kind colleague, always smiling. The last time I saw him, on July 31, he was in high spirits. "
In animation, both in the field or in meetings, Stéphane Tignon was always attentive, calm and available. A year ago, he obtained the post of director of the sports center of Convergence Garonne.
To his family and loved ones, the drafting of Republican South-Gironde extends its deepest condolences.
