Cross-country skiing: Davos before Finland
After sharing between Livigno (sprint) and Tignes (distance) in October, the team of France will be complete for its internship in Davos it begins this Monday. As in previous years, the Swiss resort has traced a 4 km loop with stored snow. The Blues should do with the Swiss a time next weekend before returning home. They will then win in Scandinavian order for the first stage of the World Cup in Ruka (29 November to 1 December). Richard Jouve and Lucas Chanavat will make a comeback by Beitostolen (22-24 November) to challenge the Norwegians before the first sprint in Finnish winter classic. The distance group will go straight to Ruka but without Jean-Marc Gaillard. Le Haut-Savoyard, accompanied by Renaud Jay, will be in Livigno and has scheduled his return to the World Cup on December 15 in Davos.
A year ago, the new staff of the team of France had made the choice not to take part in the traditional events of Susjoen. The Bleus de Vittoz were mounted in Norway but just for an internship. They are returning next weekend with the girls this year for both a first snow course and also to participate in the Norwegian events (16 and 17 November). They will find the last winner of the World Cup, Johannes Boe. This first confrontation should deliver some initial clues about the state of form of the troops even if each nation has different programming. The Blues will then go to Oestersund in Sweden where the opening of the World Cup on Saturday, November 30 with single mixed relay and a mixed relay takes place. Sunday, December 1st will be held a sprint gentlemen and ladies.
Here we go again ! The Ski Chrono Samse Tour, a big series of FIS races (3rd level) in France, is restarting for a new season. As always, this circuit, a real springboard for the next generation, will include three rankings (technical, speed and U18), for both boys and girls. The opening is scheduled for November 14 and 15 on the Grande-Motte glacier in Tignes with super-G. It will continue until April (at Serre-Chevalier for boys and Les Menuires for girls).
Jump and combined: it starts in Poland in Finland
The end of November will also be marked by the opening of the men's World Cup in Wisla, Poland (22-24) before going on to Ruka in Finland (November 29th to December 1st). The Nordic combined will launch its season in Ruka from 28 November to 1 December.
