With the shock of smartphones, Univers Freebox offers you comparisons between smartphones sold at equivalent prices via the Free Mobile store, depending on new availability and price movements. This is to help you choose according to your expectations. Today, we oppose the Nokia 2.4 and TCL 20 SE, offered at 139 and 149 euros respectively. Note, moreover, that they are available in several installments free of charge.
The screen: tied
IPS panel, HD + definition and water drop notch, the screens of the TCL 20 SE and Nokia 2.4 display the same features. Depending on the desired format, some may prefer the slightly larger screen of the TCL 20 SE or, on the contrary, the slightly smaller one of the Nokia 2.4.
- TCL 20 SE (6.82 inches, IPS, HD + and waterdrop notch)
- Nokia 2.4 (6.5 inches, IPS, HD + and water drop notch)
The Nokia 2.4 certainly has a slightly faster processor, but above all half the RAM. This announces less flexibility in multitasking. Either way, no 5G. The two platforms Qualcomm and MediaTek chosen limit these smartphones to 4G.
- TCL 20 SE (1.8 GHz octa-core processor from Snapdragon 460 chipset with 4 GB of RAM)
- Nokia 2.4 (2.0 GHz octa-core processor from Helio P22 chipset with 2 GB of RAM)
The photo part of the TCL model promises to be more interesting with a slightly better defined main sensor, an ultra wide-angle sensor not crazy but present (absent from the rival) and a slightly better defined front sensor. The rest is just the story of 2 Megapixel sensors from which we don’t really expect much. In both cases, in view of the entry-level positioning, however, we should not expect sparks.
- TCL 20 SE (16/5/2/2 Megapixels on the back, 8 Megapixels on the front)
- Nokia 2.4 (13/2 Megapixels on the back, 5 Megapixels on the front)
Autonomy and charge: TCL
The TCL 20 SE has a 5000 mAh battery that gives hope for 2 days of autonomy, but also supports 18 Watts charging via USB-C which will make the charging times acceptable. Double red card for the Nokia 2.4 with a 5 Watts charge and a Micro-USB connection that we would like to see disappear from radar.
- TCL 20 SE (5000 mAh battery and 18 Watts charge via USB-C)
- Nokia 2.4 (4,500 mAh battery and 5 Watts charge via Micro-USB)
The choice of Freebox Universe: TCL 20 SE
Larger diagonal for viewing content, more RAM for flexibility in multitasking, more photos and more power for charging. But also more storage, with 64 GB against 32 GB at the rival, and more sound, with a dual stereo speaker not available opposite. For an additional 10 euros, not counting the 20 euros reimbursement offer it benefits from, the TCL 20 SE offers more on several levels and thus presents itself as a better option if you plan to stay below the 150 euros mark.
