Sète: an actor and a chef for an ephemeral recipe

Jordan Yuste, head of l'Arrivage and Le French Farmer, has joined forces with the star actor of the series "Tomorrow belongs to us, Clément Remiens, to create a sandwich with accents of northern tielle. This original sandwich can be purchased to take away this Wednesday, September 2, from 7 p.m., at 11 rue André-Portes.

It is a story of friendship that brought Clément Rémiens and Jordan Yuste together. He explains: "Clément from a client has become a friend and we decided to prepare an ephemeral recipe because he is attacking a role that has a link with the kitchen. We had the idea of ​​making a sandwich with the tastes of a tielle which is the marker of Sète gastronomy and northern influences because Clément is from the North. Tomatoes, spices and garlic will be taken up and reworked in the spirit of a carbonade, emblematic dish of the North, all linked with a gingerbread."

This toast will be sold (at the price of € 4) this Wednesday September 2 from 7 p.m. at the French Farmer at 11 rue André-Portes. “Clément is an actor, continues Jordan Yuste, but he did a real job as a cook. He's been preparing for four days. That's when we realize that cooking requires a lot of production. because of 18 hours of work per day. "

For those who do not know (if they have spent the last few years glued to Arte and Mezzo for example), Clément Remiens is one of the leading actors in the series "Tomorrow belongs to us", shot in Sète, in which he plays the role of Maxime Delcourt.

Also winner of the ninth season of "Dance with the Stars", the 22-year-old actor is embarking on a new series called "Here everything begins" which will follow in the footsteps of students of a gastronomy school around questions of learning and transmission between different generations. The cast foresees Francis Huster, Vanessa Demouy, Frédéric Dieffenthal etc. and the shooting will take place in the Gard.

Jordan Yuste became known as the chef of the restaurant L'Arrivage which he opened in 2017 in rue André-Portes. In 2018, it made its entry into the fooding guide and was then named among the 31 "Young talents 2019" of the Gault et Millau guide.

This year, he is selected for season 11 of "Top chef" on M6. He will leave the culinary competition during episode 4. On February 27, Jordan Yuste opened a new establishment still in rue André-Portes and dedicated to street food, the French Farmer. This establishment, announces its chef, will offer a new menu and sandwiches "more marked on new combinations of flavors. We will offer a concentrate of gastronomy to take away and eat on the quays".

Soon a third restaurant

L'Arrivage offers cuisine that is "extra seasonal and creative, a cuisine of movement" as well as an original concept: a single menu whose menu changes every week and a blind tasting. Prices vary between noon and evening but the principle remains the same: "People do not know how many dishes or what they are going to eat." The restaurant is full but the rules of social distancing require to reduce the cutlery from 20 to 26 people, "or 22% less turnover every day". Obviously not short of ideas, the chef from Sète is going to open a third restaurant next to the other two. The concept ? It is too early to reveal it but the new establishment should be open for December 1st.
