Some older models of connected TVs from Samsung will no longer be able to run Netflix from the beginning of December 2019.

The advantage of having a connected TV is notably to be able to enjoy more pleasantly the contents proposed by the platforms SVoD. We obviously think of Netflix. Alas, the application of the American giant will no longer work on some Samsung TVs.

These restrictions will be effective from December 1, 2019. This is indeed a note from Samsung on its official website.

Due to technical limitations, Netflix will no longer be supported on some devices as of December 1, 2019. Some of the older Samsung smart TVs are affected by this change. In the future, Netflix can be viewed from many other devices that can be connected to your TV.

Thus, you will probably invest in an Android TV box – like the last Nvidia Shield TV for example – or an Apple TV that will have the advantage of making you enjoy the Apple TV + service. Some may choose to rely on Netflix Chromecast features on their smartphone or tablet.
