The PlayGalaxy app is now compatible with the Samsung Galaxy S10, S10 + and S10e. It is now possible to play his PC games on these Android smartphones.
The game on smartphones is changing. In addition to serving as an ideal platform for casual games to spend time in transport or toilets, smartphones are also becoming screens capable of supporting the most greedy games. This involves the porting of complete games or licenses known as Fortnite or Call of Duty Mobile, but also by the arrival of streaming allowing to deport the computing power.
Outside the offers of cloud gaming (Google Stadia, Microsoft xCloud …), some also offer live access to its PC game catalog from its smartphone. This is the case of the Steam Link application available since 2018, but also PlayGalaxy Link, an application launched in beta on the Galaxy Note 10 last September.
The Galaxy S10 invite themselves to the party
As noted by SamMobile, the PlayGalaxy Link application has been updated to version 1.0.5, with some notable new features:
- Samsung Galaxy S10e, S10, S10 Plus and S10 5G support
- New function on the screen for the right mouse button
- Ability to update a PC program automatically
- Improved existing features
In addition to Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10+, flagships Samsung's start of the year can therefore benefit from this very interesting feature for players who wish to resume their game remotely.
As a reminder, this requires installing PlayGalaxy on your smartphone and PC, and own a computer equipped with at least the configuration below:
- Windows 10
- GPU: Nvidia GTX 1060 / AMD Radeon RX 550 or more
- CPU: Intel Core i5 or higher
- 8 GB of DDR4 RAM
The link works both on a local network and remotely, even on cellular networks. The PC must of course be turned on so that the link can be established.
Whether this update arrives the same day as Red Dead Redemption 2 on PC is a coincidence or not, that should excite PC gamers desperate to continue their game when they have a little time in front of them and an internet connection within reach.
