(CercleFinance.com) – Rolls-Royce has announced a $ 13.9 million investment in its MTU power generation site in Mankato, Minnesota.
The project is the result of market growth: 2019 was a record year for the Mankato plant, requiring modernization of facilities and equipment.
The overall project investment also includes the addition of a new R&D building, improved production test cells and the renovation of the facility's front office administration area.
"This investment in our Mankato plant will help us meet the growing energy demand in the Americas with locally produced products," said Andreas Schell, general manager of Rolls-Royce Power Systems.
