If there is a builder who knows his customers very well, it's Rolls-Royce. The manufacturer of luxury cars is listening, that's why he presented in 2016 the range 'Black Badge' supposed to give a boost to its models. A few years later, the Black Badge reached Cullinan's newest Rolls-Royce vehicle.
Traditionally, Rolls-Royce relies on the luxury and absolute comfort of its cars. This time, and at the request of some of the customers, the prestigious manufacturer has made concessions. The Rolls-Royce Cullinan Black Badge is a young and dynamic SUV. To improve it, the manufacturer had to work on the bodywork, the cockpit and the motorization of his jewel to more than 300'000 euros.
The Rolls-Royce Cullinan Black Badge receives a new black color. It includes several layers of paint and lacquer polished by hand more than 10 times ! It adds to the 44,000 colors that Rolls-Royce offers. The dark theme continues to the emblem 'Spirit of Ectasy' painted in bright chrome black. The logo and the front grille also turn black, as are the trunk handle and exhaust cannulas. To perfect the rendering, 22-inch wheels have been added, they are specific to this version. Finally, for the first time, Rolls-Royce painted the brake calipers in red ! Like what, it's never too late.
The interior accommodates visible carbon elements, especially at the center console. These elements carry six layers of lacquer polished by hand to give them a brilliant effect (this process requires 21 days of work). The seats are covered with leather, and there is the pattern 'lemniscate' embroidered on the rear armrest and the clock.
The icing on the cake is the 6.75-liter V12 engine, which is powered by a few horses to reach 600 hp for 900 Nm torque (an increase of 29 hp and 50 Nm). The torque is always sent to all four wheels via the eight-speed ZF gearbox. Finally, the suspension has been strengthened and the exhaust system modified for better sound reproduction. The manufacturer does not give the price of this version, but know that the 'standard' version is sold at nearly 350'000 euros.
