RECIPE OF THE DAY. Beaufort Samossas – Nice-Matin

– 350 g of ground beef,
– 4 carrots,
– 1 can of peas,
– 200 g of Beaufort,
– 2 tsp. to s. curry,
– 1 C. to c. cumin,
– 1 red onion,
– salt pepper,
– 2 glasses of water,
– 12 brick sheets,
– 2 tsp. to s. olive oil,
– 1 egg yolk.


Peel and cut the carrots into small cubes. Cut the Beaufort into small dice.

In a skillet, heat a tablespoon of olive oil. Brown the onions, add the carrots, peas, spices and water. Cook until the carrots are tender but not mashed.

Heat the rest of the oil in another pan and cook the meat. Let everything cool, mix the meat and the vegetables and add the Beaufort cubes. Cut the brick sheets in four. Put a tablespoon of stuffing on the side and fold in a triangle towards the inside of the dough so as to close the slipper. Using a paintbrush, brush the samossa with the egg yolk to help it close. Place the samosas on a baking sheet and bake at 180 ° C for 10 to 15 min. They must be golden.
