Kimi Räikkönen and Antonio Giovinazzi, drivers of the Alfa Romeo Formula 1 team, took part in a day of testing behind the wheel of the new Giulia GTA and GTAm. These tests took place at the Balocco test center, where the Italian marque's cars have been developed since the 1960s. The original GTA was one of the first to take advantage of it in 1965.

The test session allowed the two drivers to take the cars to the limit and provide feedback in real time. Information and debriefing sessions then took place in the Autodelta workshop, Alfa Romeo's historic racing department.

Their objective was to provide specific technical suggestions aimed at optimizing the aerodynamics and handling of the cars. Alfa Romeo has contracted Sauber Engineering with the production of most of the carbon components of the GTA and GTAm, particularly those relating to aerodynamics.
