Niantic is warning Pokémon GO players that with the rollout of update 0.189 in mid-October, the game will no longer be supported on Android 5, iOS 10, and iOS 11 devices, as well as iPhone 5s and Iphone 6.
"Trainers using the affected devices will no longer be able to access Pokémon GO, including accumulated PokeCoins or items collected from their accounts," Niantic said in this message, without giving an explanation. The firm invites players to carefully keep their account information to reconnect later on a new device and thus regain their progress. Launched more than four years ago, Pokémon GO comes as a reminder to welcome the Mega-Evolutions.
