After a first race at the 24 Hours of Daytona last January, Simon Pagenaud will take part in the Petit Le Mans which will take place this weekend on the track of the Atlanta circuit in Braselton, Georgia.
The 10-hour endurance event has grown into a staple of the IMSA US Endurance Championship year after year. It takes place on Atlanta’s Michelin Raceway Road, 4 km long.
On the eve of the first tests, Simon Pagenaud, confides:
“I savor every opportunity I have to race with Penske in this No.6 Acura ARX-05. Road Atlanta is such a beautiful circuit and such a beautiful place at this time of year. We have a very competitive car and I am looking forward to meeting my team-mates for a place on the podium this weekend. "
Simon Pagenaud will support his team-mates, the Colombian Juan Pablo Montoya and the American Dane Cameron, in the bucket one of the two Acura of Team Penske, the N ° 6, currently 7th in the provisional classification of the Championship, with 153 points and Defending champion.
It should also be noted that Simon will also participate in the last endurance race of the IMSA season from November 12 to 14 in Sebring.
