Pagani Huayra Roadster BC (2019): ever more extreme – Auto-Moto

While it is time for the common man to reduce power and CO2 emissions, the world of supercars is not really governed by the same laws. Witness the new creation by Pagani, which once again seems to defy the rules, which until then seemed universal. Roadster version of the Huayra BC unveiled in 2016, paying tribute to Horacio Pagani’s first client and friend, Benny Caiola, the super sports car was officially revealed a few days ago in virtual form. First making an appearance in mobile gaming CSR Racing 2, it will later be shown in its actual form at the next Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance, which will take place on August 18.

Always showing an extreme style, this Pagani Huayra Roadster BC is distinguished by its retractable roof, of course, but also by its aerodynamics optimized to the maximum. Thanks to its specific body kit as well as its rear spoiler, the Italian supercar claims indeed afrom 500 kg to 280 km / h, as well as lateral acceleration of up to 2.2 G. Lighter than the standard Huayra roadster with a total weight of 1.25 ton, this BC indeed gains about thirty kilos on the scale thanks to the use of ultralight materials, such as titanium as well as carbon. In the cabin, the presentation obviously remains as luxurious as ever, inspired by the Zonda original revealed 20 years ago.

802 horsepower

Picking up the AM12 original 6.0-liter twin-turbo V12 of the coupé and developed only for the manufacturer associated with an automatic seven-speed gearbox, this Huayra Roadster BC claims an insane power of 802 horsepower, for a maximum torque peaking at 1.050 Nm. Figures that are enough to make you dizzy, while the performances have not yet been announced. These should however be very close to the coupe, which cuts down as a reminder the 0 to 100 km / h in only three seconds, for a top speed established at 360 km / h. Among the equipment making this sport even more radical, we note adaptive suspensions, six-piston Brembo brakes, as well as the titanium exhaust.

Only 40 copies of this Pagani Huayra Roadster will be handcrafted by the company based in San Cesario sul Panaro, Italy. An exclusivity that has a price: more than 4 million euros unit. History does not say, however, whether they were all sold …
