Winner of the 24 Hours of Daytona (GTD) twice in 2018 and 2019, Grasser Racing Team will try to win a third Rolex at the end of the week. The Austrian team is racing two Lamborghini Huracan GT3s in Florida to kick off the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship season.
Mirko Bortolotti and Rolf Ineichen (Steijn Schothorst and Marco Mapelli in reinforcement in 24H) finished the qualifying race in 3rd place on # 111, Misha Goikhberg and Franck Perera (Tim Zimmermann and Albert Costa in 24H) in 6th on # 19.
Gottfried Grasser’s team will be present for the entire season with a single Lamborghini for Franck Perera and Misha Goikhberg. However, the presence of a second car remains under study. The # 111 is registered for the Michelin Endurance Cup races.
Grasser Racing Team will meet again with the Fanatec GT World Challenge Europe Endurance Cup Powered by AWS this season with a Lamborghini Huracan GT3 entered in the Silver Cup for Tim Zimmermann and two other young drivers from the Lamborghini Squadra Corse program.
The initial plan was to run a Lamborghini in Pro for the whole season, but we are moving towards a presence only at the Total 24 Hours of Spa.
Four Huracan GT3s are expected in the ADAC GT Masters.
