Nokia has announced an agreement with Danish operator and Internet service provider (ISP) Cibicom for the implementation of a new 450 MHz LTE (4G) network.

The deal is to replace existing Cibicom radio networks and migrate them to a new framework that will allow full 4G data coverage across Denmark, as well as mass IoT connectivity.

“This deployment will strengthen Cibicom’s references as the main supplier of infrastructure for the company,” the group said.

Mette Slesvig, COO Operations at Cibicom, said: ‘Our decision to choose Nokia was based not only on their radio access technology, but also on their ability to provide reliable, robust and secure service.
