Nokia today announced that it has been selected by Andean Telecom Partners Per (ATP Per) to support the deployment of digital infrastructure for the fiber-to-the-home network (FTTH) and mobile network (small cells).

“This future-proof digital infrastructure will help telecommunications service providers speed up the deployment of telecommunications services in the country,” Nokia assures us as the FTTH rollout is underway in Lima, in the Barranco district.

The Finnish company is also planning to install its new generation ASiR (Small Cell AirScale Indoor) system at the Aventura Mall.

A researcher at OMDIA, a telecommunications strategic analysis structure, Ari Lopes believes that ‘demand for connectivity in Latin America has accelerated due to Covid-19. The digitization of the region’s economies is irreversible, as consumers, businesses and educational institutions need an increasingly fast and reliable Internet.
