(CercleFinance.com) – Nokia and Lufthansa Technik, the leading provider of aircraft services, have deployed an industrial-grade 5G private wireless network.
This network will make it possible to accelerate a project that allows remote engine parts inspection for its civil aviation customers.
'Thanks to Lufthansa Technik's' Virtual Table Inspection ', the HyperFast 5G private wireless network will eliminate the need for customers to be physically present by providing video access to the engine overhaul workshop' says the group.
'Engine parts tests can be carried out on a fast high-definition video link'.
Kathrin Buvac, President of Nokia Enterprise said: 'This secure 5G private wireless network application helps to improve operational efficiency, productivity and service. It highlights the potential of new working methods that benefit not only our customers but also the markets they serve. '
