(Boursier.com) – Daimler and Nokia bury the hatchet. The two groups have announced that they have signed a patent license agreement which ends all lawsuits brought by the two companies. Under the agreement, Nokia licenses a mobile telecommunications technology to Daimler and receives payment for it. The terms of the agreement remain confidential as agreed between the parties.
“The agreement is an extremely important milestone that validates the quality of our patent portfolio, the contribution of Nokia’s R&D to the connected vehicle industry and the growth opportunities for our automotive licensing program,” said Jenni Lukander , president of Nokia Technologies. “We welcome this settlement, from an economic point of view and because we avoid long litigation”, for its part declared the German manufacturer.
