(CercleFinance.com) – Nokia announced on Friday that it had signed 17 new fifth-generation (5G) telephony contracts during the third quarter, a performance that allows it to cross the 100 mark in the field.
The Finnish telecoms equipment manufacturer – which this week won two contracts with the British BT and the Finnish Elisa – notably claims agreements with the four main American operators and the first three in Japan.
The group also evokes an increasingly favorable dynamic within companies, which now represent 12% of its contracts in 5G.
Nokia recalls having recently signed contracts with the German railway company Deutsche Bahn, the Japanese car manufacturer Toyota and the Swedish industrial group Sandvik.
Taking into account the paid test phases, the equipment manufacturer claims to benefit from a total of 160 commercial commitments from its customers concerning 5G.
