Garage 59 will take part in the preparatory round of the 24 Hours of the Nürburgring this Saturday on the Nordschleife. After the 4 hour race earlier this month, it is now a 6 hour format that awaits the British team and its Aston Martin Vantage GT8R based on the GT4 model. This Vantage offers more power, more downforce and less weight. On the crew side, Darren Turner will serve as crew captain to support Chris Goodwin and Alexander West on Saturday in the Eifel.
"I am very happy to join the Garage 59 team this weekend"said Darren Turner. “The last time I raced on the Nordschleife was during the last 24 Hours of the Nürburgring in the Vantage GT4, so I can't wait to get out there and try out the GT8R package which is shaping up to be a big step forward in terms of rhythm. The Nordschleife is a magical place and there is always a real sense of excitement when you travel to Germany for a run. There is no doubt that we will be entitled to mixed conditions, but it will help us prepare for the 24 hour race next month. "
A week later, Garage 59 will still be at the Nürburgring, this time in the GT World Challenge Europe Powered by AWS with a pair of Aston Martin Vantage GT3s.
