The McLaren 765 LT continues to prove its worth on the accelerator tracks: Brooks Weisblat’s copy from Drag Times even shot 0 to 100 km / h in 1.7 seconds.
The racing videos flourishing on the Web often allow us to admire high-performance cars. This year’s TX2K21 event gave us the opportunity to experience the world’s fastest McLaren 765LT: Drag Times’ Brooks Weisblat showcased this feat in a recent YouTube video. It seems that the team behind this 765LT is working very hard and therefore improves the performance of the car with each new race. This weekend was no exception: the British supercar shot down the 400-meter standing start in just 8.793 at a top speed of 254 km / h. Best of all, it managed to shoot down from 0 to 100 km / h in just 1.7 seconds.
Unlike many other vehicles at the event, the McLaren features a number of small modifications that give it a lot (a lot) of power. The car’s 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 now produces 930 horsepower. Everything is sent to the wheels thanks to a tuning of the transmission system signed “M Engineering”. The world’s fastest 765 LT also has a new exhaust system and uses racing fuel to improve performance. In terms of tires, the car is based on Toyo Tires R888R tires.
Really the best?
The 765LT won a relatively easy victory in the first lap against a McLaren 720S, also improved … But obviously not enough! However, there was only a tenth of a second left between the two cars. The second round is a very different story as the 765LT is pitted against an Audi R8 Sheepey Race. Its 1400 horsepower and its all-wheel drive system make it a strong rival. Unsurprisingly, even the fastest McLaren in the world can’t beat the Audi, although it also appears to use special tires.
Still, his feat of dropping the 0 to 100 km / h stopwatch below two seconds makes this McLaren 765LT one of the fastest cars in the world.
