The new RAV4 Plug-in Hybrid enriches the RAV4 range as well as the Toyota Hybrid range. It is a vehicle that offers a combination of power and environmental efficiency unmatched in its class.

Its introduction strengthens and broadens the attractiveness of the RAV4, the model that created the SUV segment and has sold over 10 million units worldwide.

Toyota has applied its cutting-edge expertise in hybrid technology to create the RAV4 Plug-in Hybrid, producing a vehicle that is not only powerful, but also outperforms all of its competitors in terms of low emissions and fuel economy. Final model approval data indicates 22 g / km of CO2 and 1.0 l / 100 km (WLTP combined cycle).

The RAV4 operates like a real electric vehicle: electric mode (EV) is its default mode. In this 100% electric configuration, it can cover up to 98 km in city driving (WLTP urban cycle) with a full battery charge – a distance significantly greater than that of the average daily trip in Europe – and reach a speed of 135 km / h without intervention of the hybrid powertrain.

When extra engine power is required, the capabilities of the 2.5-liter Dynamic Force powertrain ensure high efficiency. Charging the battery is simple and safe and can be done in two and a half hours using a 230V / 32A connection. Owners can use the MyT app, available to everyone free of charge, to program and monitor remote battery charging. The app also lets you turn on the air conditioning or heating before getting behind the wheel.

Beyond the efficiency of the sophisticated technology of its powertrain, the RAV4 Plug-in Hybrid retains all the strengths that have made the fifth-generation RAV4 so successful since its launch at the end of 2018. In particular the dynamic qualities provided by the center of low gravity and high body rigidity inherent in the Toyota GA-K platform. The RAV4 Plug-in Hybrid is also equipped as standard with intelligent all-wheel drive AWD-i.
