Maserati MC20 (2020) – A few hours before its official revelation, All-new 2021 Maserati MC20 leaked on social media. You can already see it from all angles, inside and out.

Ferrari influence

In total break with the productions of the last three decades of the manufacturer at the Trident, the Maserati MC20 signs the return of a true sportswoman. Turning its back on the “‘ Grand Tourisme ”philosophy of the Italian catalog, the newcomer returns to a rear mid-engine architecture, disappeared in the 1980s. The result is a profile worthy of a Ferrari F8 Tributo… Bordering on mimicry. The lines are smoother, however, compared to the Prancing Horse model. It is also distinguished by lytre opening doors. It had been a long time since Maserati had pushed the dynamic slider this far.

No V8, but a house V6

This is also the case under the hood of the Maserati MC20. Housed under a window, behind the passengers, the engine, nicknamed "Nettuno", is a twin-turbo 3.0-liter V6 created in-house. It develops 621 hp at 7,500 rpm and 730 Nm of torque between 3,000 and 5,500 rpm. Coupled with this motor, a Getrag eight-speed dual-clutch transmission drives the rear wheels.

On board the Maserati MC20, we discover black and blue leather-covered bucket seats separated by a carbon fiber transmission tunnel. The latter supports buttons to select reverse gear, the different driving modes, or the passenger in manual mode. As for the dashboard, it displays a fully digital environment, featuring a touchscreen infotainment system.
