New Audi Q2 restyled (2020) – Four years after its launch, the Audi Q2 goes through the facelift box. Without revolutionizing the genre, he asserts himself with a new facies, and improves its connectivity.
To modernize the city SUV with the 4 rings, the designers administered the polygon pattern, dear to recent facies of the brand. The optics thus display a new look, more incisive, overlooking a redesigned bumper. It also multiplies the polygonal surfaces, while the grille "Singleframe", octagonal, descends slightly lower. In the S Line finish, narrow slots are inscribed at the top of this ventilation grid, at the edge of the bonnet, in reference to the Audi Quattro, as on multiple models already in the catalog. Finally, there are new, more prominent air inlets on either side of the shield.
LED headlights are now standard on the Audi Q2, front and rear, when technology Matrix LED is available as an option. At the rear, customers can opt for dynamic turn signals. Best of all, the headlights and taillights benefit from a light animation when locking and unlocking the car. The color scheme of the new Audi Q2 contains five new shades: from apple green to Manhattan gray, including Navarra blue, arrow gray and turbo blue. The slats of the C-pillars are painted in the color of the vehicle or kept in black, gray and silver, depending on the range of equipment. On board, the modifications are not legion. The air vents and the gear lever knob, or automatic gear selector lever, are getting a facelift. We especially note the arrival of new atmospheres, such as the Dinamica microfiber material which replaces the Alcantara.
Still no touchscreen
In terms of on-board technology, the 12.3-inch diagonal Virtual Cockpit is still combined with an 8.3-inch screen. Unfortunately the latter is always ordered exclusively by a rotary pushbutton on the center console or via a voice command system. It’s time for Audi’s SUV to convert to touchscreen technology. The premium infotainment system introduces Audi Connect services in the Q2, including traffic information. On the other hand, the owner can now lock the vehicle remotely or check the fuel level and range, for example, via the myAudi smartphone app.
What about the engines?
For the German market, Audi promises three petrol engines and two TDI diesel engines. But the manufacturer only mentions the renewal of the 150 hp TFSI unit for the moment, specifying that other TDI and TFSI engines will be added before the end of the year. What about the sporty SQ2 variant? It is not yet known whether it will be repeated in the catalog. Audi offers an optional sport suspension which lowers the body by ten millimeters. It is available with damping control, to offer a better compromise between comfort and dynamism. Its management can be fine-tuned via the Audi Drive Select option.
Audi Q2 price
We will have to wait some time to know the launch date of this new Audi Q2. The question also remains when it comes to the price range. She will know logically slight inflation.
