The fatal accident occurred around 4 am, near Dardilly, at the hamlet of Chêne-Rond, on the D 307.
A Jaguar and his driver collided with a post on the D 307 on the territory of the commune of Dardilly. The first news of Progress suggests that the shock, which would have occurred Friday around 4 am, was particularly violent.
The vehicle, driven by a 33-year-old man, crossed the roadway and jumped over the median. The concrete EDF post into which the Jaguar entered was cut in half under the power of the impact.
Arrived on the spot the help took two hours to manage to disarm the thirties. The latter was, it seems, dead on the spot.
According to the first elements of the investigation, only the Jaguar seems to be involved in an accident that could have been caused by excessive speed. The gendarmerie brigade of Dardilly however remains open to other tracks.
The young man was from Saint-Symphorien-de-Lay, a small town near Roanne.
