After the successful launches of the EQC and EQV, and the one initiated by the EQA, Mercedes-Benz has just lifted the veil on several other models to complete its new 100% electric range.
Mercedes-Benz accelerates the electrification of its catalog. Present at the end of April at Shanghai fair, the German manufacturer has just presented the large electric road EQS, the EQB seven-seater compact SUV and a foreshadowing concept car the EQT ludospace. Three models that will arrive in dealerships in the coming months and join the EQC, EQV and EQA, three 100% electric models, initiators of the EQ range.
” Mercedes-Benz aims for leadership in the field of electric motors and automotive software. As the name suggests, the EQB belongs to the large family of compact vehicles from Mercedes-Benz. Capable of carrying seven people on board, this new 100% electric SUV is derived from the GLB, only marketed in thermal. Aesthetically, only the reworked front headlights as well as the front and rear light strips distinguish the two models.
Measuring 4.68 meters long, 1.83 m wide and 1.67 m high, this vehicle is powered by an electric unit delivering up to 200 kW (270 hp), supplied with electricity, at least, through a 66.5 kWh battery and claims 419 kilometers of autonomy (combined cycle WLTP) but “A version with higher autonomy is also planned” . Depending on the market, the EQB will be available in traction but also in all-wheel drive.
“The launch on the Chinese market is expected later this year. The international version of the EQB, produced in Kecskemét, Hungary, will arrive in Europe at the end of the year, while the launch in the United States will follow in 2022 ”, let the manufacturer know.

Available in rear-wheel drive or with all-wheel drive, EQS delivers up to 385 kW (523 hp) of power. “A high-performance version up to 560 kW (760 hp) is planned “, emphasizes Mercedes-Benz. For now, only the technical characteristics of the versions EQS 450+ and EQS 580 4Matic are known. The first associates a 245 kW (333 hp) engine and 568 Nm of torque to a 107.8 kWh battery for 770 km of range. Presented as part of the 2021 Shanghai Motor Show, the EQT concept foreshadows the 100% electric version of the future Mercedes-Benz T-Class. A ludospace replacing the aging Citan in the current range. Close cousin of Renault Kangoo third generation and its zero-emission Kangoo E-Tech version, this future vehicle “Close to its final version” will be officially presented in mid-May.
