McLaren continues its points harvest this year, with 21 units entered by Lando Norris and Daniel Ricciardo in Austria. The Briton signs his third podium of the season, to the delight of Andreas Seidl, his manager.

“What a performance from Lando, Daniel and the whole team” welcomes Seidl. “Third and seventh is an excellent result and it is the logical continuation of the solid performance that we have shown throughout this treble of races.”

“Everyone contributed. A big thank you to every member of the team here on the track, at the factory and to our colleagues at Mercedes HPP for making this possible.”

Last week, Norris had finished one lap, but the Briton played with the Mercedes to reach the podium, and he failed a stone’s throw from second place.

“After a solid race here last week, it was great to see that we could further increase our performance and be able to fight against the best cars with Lando.”

“I’m just as happy with Daniel’s racing performance – he wrestled with Ferraris, did a great job and scored some important points in our battle for the constructors’ championship.”

“The team are now waiting for a bit of rest after an intense series of races. We will go home and prepare for Silverstone. We are already looking forward to our home race, with our fans and many of the team who will cheer us on from the stands. “
