Sergio Marchionne wanted to make Maserati an alternative to high-end German manufacturers. This required the arrival of an SUV in the range, the Levante, announced by two concept cars. Imposing, this Trident on stilts is distinguished by a sculpted and immediately recognizable look. On the road, in spite of a technical base which accuses the weight of years (it derives from that of the Mercedes-Benz Class E of 2003), the behavior appears lively, even if we know more precise. However, despite the beautiful leathers, the finish leaves something to be desired in detail. And the technological equipment is not at all up to date. A cut above, the Levante therefore seems to follow the same philosophy as Alfa Romeo Stelvio.
