We know a little more about the future Maserati Ghibli hybrid which is due to be launched this year. In a brief statement, the Italian manufacturer has indeed revealed its date of presentation. Appointment is therefore given on … July 15, 2020!
"The new Maserati Ghibli Hybrid will have its world premiere on July 15," soberly declared the brand, which did not reveal any additional details concerning the model.
Ghibli, the model of all the first
Either way, it will be the Trident's first electrified vehicle. "The first model of a new era for Maserati.", Had recently indicated the firm.
Launched in 2013, the Ghibli is definitely the model of the great firsts since it had already been the first Maserati car to use a diesel engine.
The Ghibli Hybrid like the Jeep Compass?
In all likelihood, Maserati should largely use the organ bank of the Fiat-Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) group to design its sedan. It is said in particular that the latter could have the rechargeable hybrid motorization of the Jeep Compass (4xe), which combines a 1.3L petrol engine and an electric block of 60 hp for a combined power of 240 hp. All with around fifty kilometers of autonomy thanks to an 11.4 kWh battery.
After the Ghibli, all the new products from the Modena brand will be electrified (100% electric or hybrid). A new supercar, by the name of MC20, should therefore be offered in a 100% electric version next September while an SUV is expected for 2021. A new electrified generation of GranTurismo and Grancabrio will also follow.
