Frenchman Sébastien Loeb could compete in the next Dakar at the wheel of a private Toyota from the Belgian team Overdrive, several Belgian media reported on Saturday. "A few weeks ago, Sébastien participated in a test session of one of our T3s, these little buggies that made their appearance at the Dakar-2020", explained to the newspaper Le Soir the boss of Overdrive, the Belgian Jean-Marc Fortin. According to the latter, “Seb has expressed his wish to compete again in the Dakar on a prototype capable of playing the victory. There are not 36! ” Loeb has disputed the last four Dakar races on behalf of Peugeot, ranking 2nd in 2017 and 3rd in 2019. The Alsatian is under contract until the end of the season with Hyundai, doing freelance work in the WRC for the Korean team. The Dakar-2021 is scheduled for next January, probably mainly in Saudi Arabia.
