It’s official, the restyling of the Lexus ES sedan will be unveiled on April 19 at the Auto Shanghai 2021 show. In France, the model will only be marketed with the four-cylinder hybrid.
The Auto Shanghai show will open its doors next Monday, a great opportunity for Lexus to present its restyled ES. Few changes at first glance, but we are not immune to a few surprises because Lexus relies heavily on this model. The “new” restyled ES, as the Japanese manufacturer calls it, could well replace the GS in France. The objective is to offer a rival equal to the BMW 5 Series and Mercedes E Class.
Slight aesthetic changes
As a reminder, the 7th generation of this ES is only three years old, so the restyling could be a simple mid-career facelift as Lexus shows in a short teaser.
The rear of the vehicle seems identical, all the elements of the previous version seem to have been carried over to this update. The only visual changes are that the headlights at the front of the vehicle have been slightly redesigned with three square modules.
Regarding the exterior of the restyled ES, few changes were noted but what will happen to its interior? No information has yet been released. We imagine that the multimedia system will be updated. We are also talking about new equipment. To find out more, see you on April 19 at the opening of the Shanghai show.
