The Land Rover Defender is a real Swiss army knife. Marketed for a few months, the second generation of this iconic vehicle is now available in Hard Top version. That is to say, in a utility version without a rear seat.

"Clean" diesels

The Land Rover Defender 90 and 110 Hard Top are exclusively powered with Diesel blocks associated with an eight-speed automatic transmission. The offer consists of D200, D250 and D300 : six-cylinder in-line offering respectively 200 horses for 500 Nm couple, 249 hp and 570 Nm and 300 hp and 650 Nm.

"Six-cylinder engines comply with standards RDE2 and Euro 6d-Final, the most stringent pollution regulations in the world. The D250 and D300 have the 48V lightweight hybridization technology to increase their refinement, performance and yield ” argues the British manufacturer.

Tax exemptions

Four trim levels are available – Defender, S, SE and HSE – with a very complete level of equipment, especially in terms of driving aids (3D panoramic cameras, digital rear view, etc.).

On the price side, the grid starts at 55,100 euros TTC for the 90 Hard Top version and 63,000 euros for 110 Hard Top versions. Registered as an LCV, the Defender benefits from the tax regime specific to this type of vehicle. It is so exempt from ecological penalty and enjoys exemption from TVS. In addition, VAT is recoverable under certain conditions.
