The initial prototype of the Concept S is kept in the museum of Sant'Agata Bolognese while this model, fully operational because based on the platform of the Gallardo, will be offered for sale at the end of November. It was presented to the public for the first time at Concorso Italiano in 2006 and remains the only customer copy ever made by the brand out of the 100 planned.

The Concept S is an extreme interpretation of the Lamborghini Gallardo, thought by Luc Donckerwolke as a tribute to the old racing cars, but this time with a double cockpit. A strip of bodywork separates the two occupants and crosses the vehicle in its center. This "spine" leads to an inlet of air to feed a 520 hp V10 engine greedy fresh air. Windshields called "jump-wind", very contoured, fit into a much more refined overall line than the basic model of the Gallardo, released in 2002 and manufactured from 2003. The aerodynamics of Concept S has optimized thanks to the use of front and rear spoilers and a large rear diffuser.
The Italian brand had the idea to produce 100 models of this sport without roof, but the price of production of the beast canceled its production early, after the manufacture of a single model. This is the one whose pictures are shown here! The owner of this car was the first on the long list of favorite customers of the brand. He was fortunate to be delivered from the only model that ever existed. This Concept S has only covered about 200 km, mostly on podiums of elegance competitions and lawns perfectly shaved official events organized by the brand. A case to seize very quickly at the auction organized by RM Sotheby's, which will take place on the sidelines of the Abu Dhabi F1 Grand Prix on November 30.
