Jaguar XE (2020): diesel electrifies itself – Auto Plus

The Jaguar XE receives a micro-hybrid diesel engine, some new equipment and a special series.

Restyled at the start of 2019, the Jaguar XE is already entitled to new modifications, taking advantage of a few innovations integrated simultaneously into the restyled XF. Among these is a new Ingenium four-cylinder 2L turbo micro-hybrid diesel engine developing 204hp, which replaces the 180hp diesel previously offered. Jaguar announces a combined consumption of 4.8L / 100km for CO2 emissions of 127g / km, as well as a stopwatch of 7.3s to go from 0 to 100 km / h.

On the equipment side, the Jaguar XE is enriched with the new Pivi Pro infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity but also remote updates, as well as an air purification system capable of filtering fine particles (PM 2.5).

To accompany this update of the sedan, the XE is available in a special R-Dynamic Black series recognizable by a pack of black exterior elements, black rims, a rear spoiler, an aluminum crankset or an audio system of 400W, among others. This edition is offered at the new starting price of the XE, namely € 45,810. This represents 2,360 € more than the XE D180 which provided the entry level until now.
