For more than three decades, Bowler has had a solid reputation in the production of all-terrain vehicles, in small series, and very resistant even in extreme conditions.
The Special Vehicle Operations (SVO) division of Jaguar Land Rover added the British manufacturer a few days ago Bowler to its portfolio of automotive companies. The fourth to be exact, counting the already existing units that are SV, Vehicle Personalization and Classic.
Located in Belper, UK, Bowler was founded in 1985 thanks to Drew Bowler (died November 2016). The company quickly established itself in the production of all-terrain vehicles intended for the world of international rally-steep. This partnership "Represents an important step in our strategy to create an exhilarating and diverse portfolio of products and businesses under the banner of Special Vehicle Operations", confirmed Michael Van Der Sande, general manager of Jaguar Land Rover SVO.
The ties between the two British are not new. In 2012, both had collaborated on the creation of popular competitions Defender Challenge by Bowler in 2014-2016. Following the acquisition, the management decided to maintain the Bowler facilities, as well as the employees, in Belper, on its current site.
